Hi All!
It’s your favourite Substack community-builder here. And I have news…
But first, I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who has subscribed, recommended or bought me a coffee for this project. If you still want to show your appreciation, please do any of the above (linked) to show your love!
I would like to thank some specific people, too: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
, and .So what have I been doing? That’s a great question…
I have been interviewing, searching and planning for the Poetic Library’s Spotlight series, where I release monthly interviews with your favourite poets, and where we all meet on Zoom to discuss poetry from our very own Library! This means that if your work is on that shelf, we might be taking it down and looking through its pages, verses, and lines!
Interview Reveal
This month, I interviewed
! That’s right, your favourite Substack lit-critic. He provides only the best in-depth analysis of classic and modern literature. He only recently joined Substack (January 2024) but already has over 1000 subscribers. In this interview, I focused on his original work, which draws from myth, spirituality and nature; he is heavily influenced by the Romantic poets (clue in the name). Here is a sneak peek at one of the poems we spoke about (Sunlight in the Afternoon):Expect to see the full interview later this month. The interviews with our esteemed poets will be exclusively for paid subscribers.
Zoom Workshop // Substack Poets Unite!
This week, I have also been digging through all of my saved posts from the Poetic Library to choose the work we will be looking at in our Zoom session. I will not be releasing this until the session. But I have planned the time and the day: Sunday 12th May at 6 pm (BST, UK), 1 pm (EDT, USA ), and 10 am (PDT, USA). Note, this is all the same time, but we’re all in different time zones - this is the time I thought might work for the most people!
If you would like to join, become a paid subscriber. As a paid subscriber, you will be sent emails with the Zoom details and resources for the session. You will also receive recordings of the Zoom sessions afterwards - in case you can’t attend.
I am so excited to meet you all and look at all the poetry in our Library!
See you on the shelves.

Saffron. Thanks for shining a spotlight on my name. I write from my phone, the keyboard is small but somehow a message gets sent. Blessings from PDT zone where the stars are hidden behind clouds tonight.
