I once read an article about a man who inhaled an apple seed.
It rested in his chest for three months and grew through his lungs — soft and fickle as they were. Sponge against root — they caved to the seed’s wishes. Gave their air to the roots.
Sometimes, I am tempted to do the same. My phantasie likes the idea of becoming an apple tree. I draw from Sylvia and Zora and enjoy using fruit trees alongside femininity—what fruits would my tree have? A crab apple? A cooking? To have a use would be nice.
